Traeloch's Touched by the Sun, RN, CD, TDX successfully finished her TDX test at the Massachusetts Tracking Club 30th Anniversary trial in Gardner, MA on October 5, 2008. She completed an arduous track of about 3000 feet, thru two woods, over rocks, roads, and sloping fields, identifying all articles. Look for her writeup in the January GRCA Journal .

Traeloch'sTouched by the Sun (Phlaire) earned her CDX (companion dog excellent in open obedience) at the Bayshore DTC obedience trial on December 6th in Allentown, New Jersey.

"Frisco" is owned by Bonnie Rubin and Karen Fennikoh. Frisco now has the letters RN after his name. He finished his rally novice title at the 2008 GR National in the rain and muck.

WOW!! Frisco wins Best of Breed AND a group 4th at the National Dog Show. He looked fantastic on television!!

Frisco earns a BOB and a group 1 on April 9th, 2009 at the Lebanon County Kennel Club under
Judge Allan Brown.

 

Edgecombe's EvenKeel (Keely)was RWB (Reserve Winner's Bitch) to a major at the New Brunswick Kennel Club (3/23/07). Keely was also 1st in BBE (Bred by Exhibitor) Bitches at Hudson Valley Golden Retriver Club and RWB at Sand and Sea Kennel Club on March 31, 2007.

Bonnie Rubin's Cooper finishes his RN!! He is now CH Amberglo's Hi Flyin Fire Fly, CGC, RN
Finn had a fabulous weekend doing agility this weekend at the Talbot County Kennel Club in Maryland! He got 3 Q's and a new title--he got his Novice Standard Preferred Agility title and a first and second place in Standard. He also got a second in Open Jumpers with Weaves, and has now moved up to Excellent Jumpers with Weaves-Preferred!

He is now Glenwood Feel the Fire, CGC, CCA, RE, OJP, NAP !!!!

At the 2008 GR National

April Derr's Tyler, aka Breezie Clark Prioity Mail AO AXJ CCA CGC. got a Q and a 3rd place in the Agility novice preferred FAST class on Monday. On Tuesday this 12 and a half year old earned a Qualifing score in Agility preferred Standard. He also was with very good company in the Parade of Titleholders after the Welcome Dinner

Kalm Sea's Kalomar Case Closed is a NEW CHAMPION!! AND

At the 2007 Potomac Valley Golden Retriever Specialty, Ch. Kalm Sea's Kalomar Case Closed (Grissom), took Best of Opposite Sex under judge Elliot More.

Breezie Clark Priority Mail OA, AXJ, CGC, CCA (Tyler)
tooted his horn at the 2007 Hudson Valley Golden Retriever Specialty Parade of Titleholders. Tyler will be 11 years old April 7th.

Dennis (Traeloch's Looking for Trouble) earns his Tracking Dog title in October in the Berks County DTC tracking trial. Now on to his Rally and Tracking Dog Excellent titles!! Joan Luckhardt owns Dennis along with his breeder, Pat Flanagan.
Rocky (Charms Love Me Like a Rock) took Best of Breed over quite a few very nice dogs. This gave him his first major, one more and on to Obedience and Agility. Leslie Adams owner. (2008)
On August 5 th, Congratulations to Janice Provenzano for taking Reserve Winners Bitch with Edgecombe's Even Keel! Also, Janet Krupp qualified for her 2nd novice leg in obedience with Kodak.
It was a great weekend for Lenape members!!!!

Paws up to the Lenape Golden Retriever Club's Certified Therapy Dogs who
service our communities with their visitations to nursing homes, assisted care
facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, reading programs, and wherever a
therapy dog is required.

Puregold Bobby's Girl, U-CD - Certified with Therapy Dogs Int'l
Sassy has been a TDI therapy dog for 3 years. She visits Grand View
Hospital each week and spends 8 hours a month providing love and
comfort in the Behavior Health Department.

CH Toby's Mr. Bojangles, CD - Certified with Therapy Dogs Int'l
Bobo has also been a TDI therapy dog for 3 years. Like his sister, Sassy,
he also visits Grand View Hospital and is always ready to stand in
for Sassy at any time.

Sassy and Bobo are owned by Leslie and Bob Adams

Syzygy Lord of the Big Sky - Certified with Therapy Dogs, Inc.
Montie, our youngest, has been a therapy dog for one year. He visits
nursing homes, an assisted care, and is involved in reading programs.
Montie works four hours a month helping to brighten a day and bring
confidence to a child with reading problems.

Harvest A'Blaze N'Glory, CD - Certified with Therapy Dogs, Inc.
Blaze has been a TDI Therapy Dog for 8 years. He spends approx. 8
hours a month providing emotional support to autistic children in
elementary and high schools.

Toby's Mak'N Rumors Charm'R - Certified with Comfort Caring
Canines
Reba has been a Comfort Caring Canine therapy dog for eight years. She
spends a couple of hours each month at local nursing homes making a
difference in the quality of life for our elderly.

Betty Quay is the proud owner of Reba.

Marchwood's Spring Kisme Kate, CD, RN RL1, CCA, TDAI
- Certified with Therapy Dogs, Inc.
Katie has been a TDI therapy dog for eight years. Spending 5 hours
each month, she visits a nursing home and an assisted care facility
where she provides emotional support and petting.

Katie is the apple of Eileen Curran's eye.

It takes a very special temperament to be a therapy dog, so if you see our Lenape
therapy dogs while you are out and about, please give them a hug and thank
them for the fine job that they do.

Kudos to the owners of these therapy dogs who, as individuals, have
made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many by sharing their canine
companion which those who are no longer able to have a dog of their own Just
Imagine how awful it would be to never touch a dog again.
